The Vacuum Formed Process
With this process TSC utilizes 3M-3D technology to essentially shrink wrap raised graphics and braille beads under clear lexan polycarbonate. The raised graphics and braille are sealed and have a very soft finish to the touch. This is a preferred method over raster style signage. It may cost a little more but these signs will also last longer and are less susceptible to picking and vandalism.
The Raster Process
Utilizing a high speed router TSC cuts out .7mm thick letters and graphics that are adhered to the sign material. A router head then drills holes in the substrate that clutch hold the raster braille beads in place.
The benefits of this system are that a much larger variety of materials and laminates can be utilized. However the raised elements are not as soft edged as vacuum formed signs.
